For older adults, falling can lead to far more serious consequences, including long-term hospitalization, disability or death. Yet with best practices for assessment and preparation, many falls are preventable. In this webinar, we explore assessment techniques and living modifications to help reduce fall risk.

Presented by Julie Morita, RN, MSN, CWOCN with Capital Nursing Education

Julie Morita completed the Nurse Residency Program at UC Davis Medical Center and earned her Master of Science in Nursing at Samuel Merritt University. She is certified by WEB WOC University in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence. Julie is a member of the Sacramento WOCN Group, Pacific Coast Region of WOCN, and the Case Management Society of America. She previously worked for Sutter Care at Home as an RN Case Manager, where she provided education, direct wound care, and long-term care for patients with diabetes suffering from congestive heart failure, COPD, and metastatic cancer. Currently, Julie is working for American River Home Care as a  CWOCN.
